Size: upto 40 mm.

 

Key Features:  shell surface is smooth or with slight transverse ridges; it has small pustules and four weak teeth on the columella. Its outer shell colour is variegated black and white, occasionally with three conspicuous bands. The interior is white, with a pinkish-grey, granular operculum.

 

Diet: feeds on algae.

 

Habitat: found on rocky cliffs, on rocks in the littoral fringe, and sometimes on mangrove trees

 

Conservation status: Not Evaluated

 

Distribution in the GoK: reported along the coast of Paga, Boria, Chank, Gandiya kadu, Panero, Ajad, Vudakuda, Goose and Narara region.
